According to the observation of TrendForce Energy Storage, recently, a number of energy storage battery projects have seen intensive contract signings, groundbreaking ceremonies, and accelerated construction progress. These projects cover multiple technical routes including vanadium flow batteries, solid-state batteries, and lithium-ion batteries, with a total investment scale exceeding 5.8 billion yuan.

01 Contract Signing for Yinfeng New Energy's Vanadium Flow Battery R&D and Production Base Project

On October 11th, the vanadium flow battery R&D and production base as well as Changsha headquarters project, invested by Yinfeng New Energy Co., Ltd. with 500 million yuan, successfully signed a contract and settled in Yuelu High-tech Zone.
As a leading enterprise in the field of all-vanadium redox flow battery energy storage, Yinfeng New Energy will rely on its core advantages in vanadium flow battery technology to build a complete industrial chain closed loop from R&D to production in Yuelu High-tech Zone.

02 Contract Signing for Pucheng Technology's Capacity Expansion Project

On October 10th, Huizhou Pucheng Technology Co., Ltd. held a contract signing ceremony for its capacity expansion project in Huinan Science and Technology Park of Zhongkai High-tech Zone.
This capacity expansion project of Pucheng Technology is located in the Huinan Smart Valley Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, mainly for the construction of Pucheng Lithium Battery (Huizhou) Headquarters Building. The project is expected to have a construction area of 14,000 square meters, with a total of 14 floors, equipped with production workshops and laboratories. It is planned to build an integrated platform integrating industrial base, headquarters business group, resource sharing and interaction.
Public information shows that Huizhou Pucheng Technology Co., Ltd., established in 2021, is a high-tech enterprise focusing on the lithium-ion battery field. Its core business covers the R&D, production and sales of lithium-ion batteries, and it has significant technical advantages especially in the field of lithium-ion battery PACK.

03 Groundbreaking of Tailan New Energy's Hubei Solid-State Battery Base

On October 9th, Tailan New Energy's solid-state battery R&D and industrialization project broke ground in Qianjiang, Hubei.
With a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan, the project settled in Qianjiang, Hubei in August 2025, focusing on the design, development and large-scale production of all-solid-state battery products.
Public information indicates that the bidding work for the first phase of this all-solid-state battery production base construction project was launched at the end of September, which plans to build two cell workshops, two formation workshops, one PACK workshop, etc.
At present, Tailan New Energy has laid out R&D and production bases in Beijing, Chongqing, Anhui and other places. Among them, the 0.2GWh production line of the Chongqing base is almost running at full capacity, with an under-construction capacity of 12GWh, which is expected to be put into initial production within the year; the Anhui base started construction in 2023, with a total investment of 7 billion yuan and a planned capacity of 10GWh.

04 Accelerated Construction of Haochen Xinghui's 8GW Solid-State Battery Project

On October 10th, the annual 8GW solid-state battery project of Hami Haochen Xinghui Technology Co., Ltd. was under accelerated construction. At present, 5 out of the 6 workshops have completed their main structure construction. By increasing equipment and personnel to speed up the progress, it is expected that production equipment will be delivered in November and trial production will start in December.

As the first solid-state battery production base in Northwest China, the project has a total investment of 1.8 billion yuan and covers an area of 100 mu (approximately 66,667 square meters). It innovatively adopts the "technology transfer + enclave park" model to build a complete industrial chain from nano-scale cathode material R&D to end-scenario application. After reaching full production capacity, it can produce more than 1 million b

attery cells annually and form a diversified product matrix including power batteries and energy storage systems.

05 Upcoming Groundbreaking of QingShanhu Sci-Tech City Flow Battery Manufacturing Base Project

On September 30th, Lin'an Branch of Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Planning and Natural Resources publicized the construction plan for the LA010103-09 plot in QingShanhu Sci-Tech City Unit. The large-scale flow battery manufacturing base project with an area of over 410,000 square meters is about to break ground.
According to the public announcement, the project covers an area of approximately 200,000 square meters with a total investment of 2 billion yuan. It plans to build an intelligent flow battery industrial park integrating production, R&D, office and supporting auxiliary buildings.
The project will be implemented in two phases. The first phase is planned to build high-standard workshops for manufacturing and their supporting buildings; the design of the second phase should fully consider the industrial positioning needs of this project (flow battery production and manufacturing) for workshop design and supporting facilities construction.
